To improve e-ticketing system, PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has  trialed the e-ticketing apllication in corridor IV (Dukuh Atas - Pulogadung) and corridor VI (Ragunan - Dukuh Atas) since yesterday. This trial was not only applied for Transjakarta bus passenger, but also the Transjakarta integrated bus (APTB).

So in the end of February, the 12 Transjakarta corridors have implemented e-ticketing

General Director of PT Transjakarta, Antonius NS Kosasih said, the trial in this 2 corridor is applied after the e-ticketing has been used in 10 Transjakarta corridors for 5 months.

"We hold trial here because only these 2 corridors still not apply the e-ticketing," he said at City Hall, Thursday (2/5).

Kosasih added, his side installed 2 tapping machines in each corridor to facilitate the e-ticketing system. The machines are also integrated to ease the Transjakarta integrated bus passenger.

"Later, the Transjakarta integrated bus passengers only need to pay Rp 6,000 per ride. After they come to Transjakarta bus stop, the officer will tap their ticket to the machine," he added.

Furthermore, Kosasih continued, the e-ticketing installation in corridor IV and VI is aimed to improve the service for the public transportation user.

"But it is still in trial process. So, the e-ticketing still not fully operated," he uttered.

Kosasih targeted to apply e-ticketing full system in these two corridors by the end of this month.

" So in the end of February, the 12 Transjakarta corridors have implemented e-ticketing ," he disclosed.
